Rest assured, "Trolling" is **not** illegal in any way so you can't be held liable for something that isn't _actually_ against any known laws. Defamatory remarks however are a different thing entirely, and something that **is** illegal -- But of course proving that something is defamatory is hard, because you have to prove or disprove that the remarks are true or false.
