(#nnr7z6a) @eaplmx Yeah so basically being a part of Yarn.social just means implement the extensions, at a bare minimum Metadata, Twt Hash and Twt Subject extensions. Or you _could_ just spin up a pod as it's a bit easier and less fuss π Also uses minimal resources (_quite a few pods run on Raspberry Pis!_)
Also where is the "confusion"? The fact my own pod is called Twtxt.net? That's kind of legacy, as if you read more of my blogs you'll soon realize that this project came from a much simpler idea that then evolved into what is now Yarn.social π

(#5zbx3wa) that's a great idea. I should build some open redirect websites and QR codes and place them around our cities to get people to be redirected to Yarn.social π

(#3ezvila) In addition, supporting "Range" requests _should_ be possible from a client's perspective with fallback options to do a full request. I don't think this needs to be part of the spec at all. The way I would implement this is to keep track of the last position, and re-fetch from that position minus a few hundred bytes just to be sure, throw away any initial garbage. I'd probably also try to detect if the feed is append-only or prepend and track this too (somewhere). If the Metadata preamble changes, seeking back a bit _should_ in theory work or fallback.

Hmmm π€ Okay now I just think I've created a nasty goroutine bug that's leaking goroutines, memory and eating cpu over time π’ **ATT:** Don't pull `master` at this point until I either fix this or revert the last few changes! π
(#upbddla) @tkanos Why's that? Is it just the people that are on Mastodon that's the issue, or how Mastodon works (or doesn't) work? π€
Interestingly there's more things about Brazil that our search engine is able to find that I expected π

Can't say I've seen/heard this word used before! π I had to look it up π
I _think_ it's more common in English to use words like "extend", "elbow room", "wiggle room", "independence", etc.
