(#ivxbbea) @taigrr Because I am vision impaired / legally blind. I cannot use anything but macOS nowadays. You can thank Canonical Inc. for breaking the only decent OSS project that _had_ decent-ish full-screen zoom at one point.
Trouble though these days (even if something existed, like in the Wayland space), I know of no way to get high dpi font rendering either on 4k/5k displays ๐ข
So Linux on Desktop for me is basically (currently) impossible ๐ข

Had a nice chat tonight with @prologic, @ocdtrekkie, and @taigrr. Some things we talked about today:
- The release of yarnd 0.15
- Packaging apps for Sandstorm
- SSD performance
- KVM on WSL
- Mitigating smart home spyware for in-store demos
-
- Google's policies around using external code
- The whirlpool currently taking place at Twitter
Also, we discovered an interesting statistic in the call tonight.
100% of technology enthusiasts have at least one Raspberry Pi, but only 25% of technology enthusiasts use them for anything. (it's @taigrr)

(#iz5w4qq) @taigrr Yeah I totally understand where you're coming from. This is exactly why we chose to do this, because we didn't want our hard work potentially spoiled by someone coming along and ya know, going "oh goody, we can take/steal and pillage this thing for our own benefit" -- as is the case that happened with the recent "Truth Social" / Trump *cough cough*.

This is an improvement we can make in this case, where we read in a local lang file. Can you file a backlog issue and maybe you could even contribute a PR to make this a thing? We embed a default lang in the binary -- yes -- But there's no reason we can't load one off disk supplied by a Poderator? ๐ค cc @ullarah
